The Premier UK Disabled Flying Training Charity Since 1994 | ![]() |
The APT Charitable Trust was founded by Mr James Edmonds in 1994. The Trust was founded with the objective of providing facilities to teach seriously physically disabled people to fly, giving them the opportunity to enjoy the freedom of the sky. Our purpose is to help them recover a belief in themselves and a degree of independence and confidence in their self-worth that enables them to face their difficulties and find a new challenge and purpose in their lives. The APT Trust uses specially adapted CFM Shadow Microlight aircraft, and operates from the Old Sarum Airfield near Salisbury in Wiltshire. Hangarage, servicing and tuition are provided by the adjoining Shadow Flight Centre.
The APT charitable trust is funded solely by donations from people exactly like YOU! Every £1 donated to APT enables us to continue giving confidence and mobility back to people who have had their lives shattered by the loss of use of their limbs. |
